The Man in Blue Weblog

Visual design, XHTML/CSS coding, custom Perl CMS

My first true foray into Standards-based design was my personal weblog, and it landed with more of a splash than I expected. Douglas Bowman of Stopdesign was kind enough to write about it and it has enjoyed a fair bit of success since.

It is primarily a repository of writings about Web and interface design – so its appeal is generally limited to the web deisgn community – but through feature illustrations and other experimentations it also allows me the freedom to express myself graphically.

In addition to the graphical design and CSS aspects of the site I also coded the entire backend in Perl which allows me far greater freedom than if I were using a proprietary weblog system.
